Junior academics' experience with research and teaching can be compared to an adventure. New challenges and unexpected insights they are confronted with contribute to their personal and professional growth. “Teaching is an Adventure” is thus closely linked to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and searches for the new pathways for SoTL integration in the academic daily routine. In collaboration with Prof. Ursula Offenberger from Methods Center (Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences) and sociologist Dr. Katja Hericks we created a new “SoTL-Box” project that was implemented for the first time in Winter of 2018/19 at the University of Tübingen.
Our goal is to enable an open intercollegial dialogue on the subject of teaching and learning at Tübingen University. SoTL-Box proposes an accessible approach to the qualitative research, professional support in your individual SoTL-Project and an opportunity to be a part of an extensive network of junior academics. Participation in the project can be also accredited for Baden-Württemberg Certificate for Teaching and Learning.
