The University of Tübingen International Summer Course is run by “Deutsch als Fremdsprache und Interkulturelle Programme,” part of the Division for International Affairs. We offer courses to prepare you for studying in Germany as well as courses to accompany you as you study here – more than 50 of them per semester. In addition, we have special programs, some for students from around the world, and some run in conjunction with partner Universities abroad. This work has given us decades of expertise in the design, organization and carrying-out of educationally valuable international courses in German language and culture.
We also offer seminars for training students in the teaching of German as a foreign language, as well as courses for the development of intercultural competence.
The University of Tübingen’s international outlook is reflected in the large number of students from abroad – more than 12% in a student population of around 28,000. Our courses and service are a valuable contribution to the teaching and support of international students.
