Is there a chance of getting a scholarship?

The Tübingen Summer Course do not provide scholarships. But you can apply to the German Academic Exchange Service, the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst), for a University Summer Course Grant, specifying Tübingen as your chosen destination. www.daad.de

How do I get to my accommodation?

We take you and your luggage there the day you arrive and help you check in.

How far is it from my accommodation to the University?

Tübingen is not a big city. You can walk or take the bus from the halls of residence to the University. The busses in Tübingen are safe and reliable; they run every 5-10 minutes. There are also night busses. A monthly ticket for the Tübingen city busses is included in your rent.

What do I do if I arrive after 5pm on the first day?

Please send us an email in advance if you cannot arrive by 5pm! We will try to find a solution.

Will I have access to the internet and e-mail?

Yes. You can use EDUROAM or get an account for the University network. You can use the internet free of charge via the network. We will explain to you how it works. Not all of the accommodations have wireless internet access. We recommend bringing your own LAN cable.

If I get sick, do I automatically have health insurance cover during the Summer Course

No. Please take out appropriate international health insurance before you leave home and bring your insurance card with you. We can help if you need to go to the doctor.

Can I do my own cooking at the accommodation?

Yes. Every floor has its own kitchen, which is shared among the people staying on that level. The kitchens each have a stove, oven, freezer and refrigerator, sink etc. There are also pots, crockery etc.

Is there a sink in my room?

Nearly every room is equipped with a sink. There are shared toilets and bathrooms on each floor.
