We would like to invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition “Unbounded Anatomy” at the Old Anatomy Building on the Österberg.
The exhibition delves into the history of anatomy during the National Socialist era, when anatomical science overstepped traditional boundaries. The display explores how anatomists utilized the bodies of executed Nazi victims and other marginalized groups for research and education. It examines the complicity of Tübingen’s medical community in this process, particularly during the radicalization of Nazi policies. Through objects, documents, and interviews, the exhibition investigates the role of anatomy before, during, and after the Nazi regime, and reflects on the moral and ethical challenges faced by the discipline.
Join us to explore this important historical subject at its original location - the Old Anatomy Building in Tübingen.
