Linguistics Meets Literature: Speech Act Operators

Friday November 9th, 2018

The specific workings of speech act operators are as of yet under-investigated. In this workshop, organized jointly by projects C1 and A2 of the SFB 833, we seek to investigate how they work both across different languages (C1) and across different communicative situations (A2). The perspectives of fictional and non-fictional discourse in particular will serve to illuminate the intricacies of speech act theory.

All talks take place in Wilhelmstr. 50 (Brechtbau), rm 215.
