Dr. Carmen Dörge

Carmen studied English Literature, Musicology and English Linguistics at the universities of Tübingen and Oxford. From 2009 to 2015, she worked as a research assistant for project A2 “Interpretability in Context” of the SFB 833 at Tübingen University. Her research interests include Early Modern Poetry, Metaphysical Poetry, Religion and Literature and 19th Century Literature. Within project A2 she pursued her dissertation on The Notion of Turning in Metaphysical Poetry. In her dissertation she focuses on the poetry of John Donne and George Herbert; a special emphasis is placed on peculiarities in the use of language.
