Research Interest

In my research project I investigate the image reading skills of dental medicine students, which is part of the Leibniz-WissenschaftsCampus „Cognitive Interfaces“. The project is built on collaboration between the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien, the University Clinic for Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Computer Science Department of the University of Tübingen.

I am interested in students’ eye movements on medical images, their diagnostic performance and the development of image reading skills over time. Based on knowledge about these processes, I want to develop innovative teaching strategies to support the processes underlying the diagnosis of medical images.

The structure of LEAD gives me the opportunity to deepen the interdisciplinarity of my project and to gain new insights from the network.
