The focus of my research is the use of Virtual Reality (VR) in education both as a learning tool (for teaching and learning) and as a research instrument (facilitating the reproduction and the manipulation of different aspects of teaching). My overall goal is to use the full potential of VR to examine under what conditions students learn most effectively and study how different settings and didactic approaches facilitate learning.
This academic research topic goes hand in hand with LEAD’s mission: to foster interdisciplinary cooperation, to support high quality empirical research – through its PhD Training Program and its large organisational resources - and to contribute to national and international education policy through publications of empirical evidence regarding “the best” approaches in education.
