Research Interest

I am interested in analyzing new teaching and learning methods with the aim to support students to acquire knowledge and to promote individual learning. In my research project, I focus on the instructional method “Learning by explaining”. Explaining learned material should support the learning process. I investigate the effect of different modalities of explanations on students’ comprehension. I empirically analyze this topic in a practical-orientated context.

Working together with LEAD enables me to get in contact with schools in Baden-Württemberg and supports my practice-orientated research. Additionally, LEAD offers me the opportunity to meet researches who share my research interests so that new ideas can be developed and current issues can be discussed.
