Research Interersts

My main research interest is how we can foster the presentation skills of teenage students, especially skills at illustrating highly complex natural scientific phenomena. In the last few years, presentations were getting more and more important in the German school system and in seven federal states of Germany presentation exams are a part of the final examination. Almost all students have to give presentations on a regular basis. Ideally, students can learn from these presentations, can memorize the information contained and even apply this knowledge in different contexts.

LEAD gives me the opportunity to get in contact with researchers and doctoral students from related fields. Furthermore the expertise of LEAD widens my empirical knowledge and enables me to place empirical findings in the field of rhetorical research.
