We are the central institution for strategic researcher development for early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) from doctoral studies to assistant professorships. The personal and professional development of our researchers at all career stages is our obligation and an expression of the University of Tübingen's supportative culture.
Do you want to point your professional goals and perspectives in a specific direction? Do you want to acquire important skills and gain access to networks? We offer a comprehensive high-quality range of information and advice, trainings and networking services for the following target groups: Those interested in doing a PhD, doctoral students, postdocs, junior research group leaders and junior professors, as well as international researchers.
We advise applicants on the appropriate design of early-career researcher funding formats. We design and coordinate the university-wide researcher development concept. The European Commission's Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) audit is also part of our responsibilities.
We are located in the University's Research Division and are assigned to the Vice President for Research and Innovation. We gather input from the faculties' doctoral offices which helps us to design services in response to demand.
