Dr. Carsten Leven-Pfister studied Geology with focus on Applied Geology and Geophysics at the University of Tübingen. He continued as a PhD candidate in the hydrogeophysics group at the Center for Environmental Research (ZAG). In 2003 he gained his Doctoral degree in Applied Geology. As a postdoctoral researcher he worked for the Center for Geophysical Investigation of the Shallow Subsurface at the Boise State University (USA) and the ZAG with focus on the hydrogeological site investigation. After working as a consultant in Switzerland, he worked several years for the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research – UFZ in Leipzig where he headed the working group “Direct Push and Hydrogeological Measurement Methods”. In 2009 he joined the ZAG again where he is now in charge of the working group “Hydrogeological Site Investigation Methods”. Research interests include hydrogeolocical site investigation with special focus on hydraulic methods and Direct Push.
