PhD position (3 years) in the research field of neutron stars.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated student, interested in the weird properties of neutron stars and their evolution. The PhD project will comprise multiwavelength observations of neutron stars and the modeling of population observables. The project will have a particular emphasis on data from X-rays observatories, notably XMM-Newton, but also the imminent German-Russian eROSITA mission.

The IAAT comprises several groups in Observational and Theoretical Astrophysics as well as Computational Physics. Details about the scientific activities of the High-Energy Astrophysics group can be found at our webpage: http://www.uni-tuebingen.de/en/90013.
