Research

The experimental research group of József Fortágh develops quantum instruments based on ultra-cold atoms and solid state nanostructures. Research is focussed on quantum electronic systems based on atomic Bose-Einstein condensates and Rydberg atoms coupled to superconductors and carbon nanotubes. Techniques of „cold atom scanning probe microscopy“ are investigated for ultrasensitve force measurements. The group collaborates with industrial partners on the development of optical measurement technologies.
