Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology
We are studying questions at the interface of plant biology, developmental genetics and evolutionary genomics. To this end, we are taking both bottom-up, forward genetic and top-down, sequencing driven approaches. Important current projects include microevolution of the plant immune system and the role of epigenetics in adaptation.
Current Research Topics
- Methylome comparisons (tools for identification of differentially methylated regions in plant genomes)
- Short read analysis for the Arabidopsis 1001 Genomes Project and related projects (SHORE software with various modules for variant calling, genetic mapping etc.)
