Postdoc Position in Environmental Analytical Chemistry (14 months)
Project “Rivers” / Collaborative Research Center 1253 “Catchment as Reactors: Metabolism of Pollutants on the Landscape Scale - CAMPOS”
Postdoc Position “Suspect and non-target screening and data evaluation” in Environmental Analytical Chemistry (“Postdoc”, 14 months) to be filled Nov. 1, 2019.
The project “Rivers” is part of the Collaborative Research Center 1253 “Catchment as Reactors: Metabolism of Pollutants on the Landscape Scale - CAMPOS” and aims at identifying and characterizing major environmental processes responsible for pollutant turnover in surface water (www.campos.uni-tuebingen.de). Suspect and non-target screening by LC-MS and data evaluation approaches will be applied to detect pollutants and their transformation products. We look for a candidate willing to develop new analytical approaches for suspect and non-target screening and data evaluation to identify unknowns and transformation products with LC-tripel quadrupole-MS and LC-Q-TOF-MS.
The successful candidate holds a PhD (doctorate) and has a strong background in Environmental and Analytical Chemistry, as well as LC-MS applications for organic trace compounds. The applicant seriously pursues a career in academia, acquires successfully third-party-funding and provides analytical support to CAMPOS.
Salary is based on TV-L E13 and employment takes place via the Central Administration of the University. In the case of equivalent qualified and experienced candidates, physically challenged applicants are given preference. The University of Tübingen aims to increase of the portion of women in research and teaching and encourages applications from qualified female scientists.
