Research on the LBK in the Upper Neckar region

Jörg Bofinger

Geographically, the LBK in Baden-Wuerttemberg occupies a special position as the westernmost variant. The chronology of this region is of particular importance because of the overlapping of Oldest LBK and La Hoguette. The presentation will provide an introduction to the known excavation sites and subject them to critical evaluation. Patterns of land use during the very earliest phases of neolithic colonization can be identified by analyzing geographical features in a well known settlement landscape near Tübingen.
