Prof. Dr. habil. Steffen Zitzmann

Steffen Zitzmann war Juniorprofessor für Methoden der Empirischen Bildungsforschung und hat zum 1. Oktober 2023 einen Ruf auf die W3-Professur für Quantitative Methoden an der Medical School Hamburg angenommen.

Im Fokus seiner Forschungsinteressen stehen Bayes-Ansätze zur Schätzung von Mehrebenenmodellen. Daneben befasst sich Steffen Zitzmann mit weiteren Methoden und statistischen Verfahren, die sowohl in der pädagogisch-psychologischen Forschung also auch in der Empirischen Bildungsforschung von zentraler Bedeutung sind, so zum Beispiel mit latenten Variablen-Modellen zur Auswertung von quasi-experimentellen Interventionsstudien und epidemiologischen Studien. Außerdem entwickelt Steffen Zitzmann meta-analytische Verfahren, die aufgrund der Replikationskrise gegenwärtig von besonderem Interesse sind.
