• Target group:
  Target group are master students who want to attend a Master Seminar in Econometrics. Diploma students can attend the Master Seminar and can write a Diploma Seminar Thesis (Hauptseminararbeit) for a Hauptseminar in Statistik und Ökonometrie.

• Goals:
  

  Students should learn how to write a scientific paper in applied or theoretical econometrics and present and defend their results. Students should both deepen their technical and econometrics skills by working on their own (but guided by supervisors) and learn how to present convincingly and in a scientifically correct way. They should learn how to defend their results in a critical discussion. The seminar should prepare the students for their master thesis.

• Preliminary meeting:
  A preliminary meeting for interested students takes place on Tuesday, 16th February, 6:15 p.m. in room 332 (Mohlstraße 36). Preliminary information on the seminar and on deadlines can be downloaded here.

• Registration:
  Registration is possible after the preliminary meeting. Later registration is possible in room 314 (Mohlstraße 36, 3rd floor) during the office hours (Monday - Thursday, 9.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.) until Monday, 22nd February, 12 a.m.. To register please hand in a filled out application form, which can be downloaded here.
