ContentThe course is designed as a companion to the lecture "Applied Econometrics" enabling students to use the EViews software in practical applications for econometric and statistical analysis. The main focus lies on applications of the classic linear regression model in economics, business administration and finance.

The course will be blocked. The dates are:

Tue. 09.06., Tue. 16.06., Tue. 23.06., Tue. 30.06., Tue. 07.07., Tue. 14.07.

There will be two courses covering exactly the same material. One from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (group I) and the other from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (group II) at each of the dates given above. Note: The number of participants for this course is limited and prior registration is required.

Please hand in a filled out registration form which can be downloaded here (pdf). Registration is possible in room 314 (3rd floor) during the office hours (Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) until 31.03.2009.

Exam procedure: the final EViews exam will take one hour and will be of open book type, i.e. you are allowed to use your EViews programs and notes from class, textbooks, assignment sheets and your own documentations; BUT all material in printed form only!

The EViews exam will take place on Tuesday, 21.07.2009 on 12:00 p.m. (group I) and 04:00 p.m. (group II) in the PC-Lab, Nauklerstraße 47. Please arrive 10 minutes earlier and wait in front of the PC-lab entrance. You will be picked up there.

Exam registration: registration for the final EViews exam via Campus is not necessary. All participants who are on the list of participants (see above) are automatically registered for the final exam unless they sign off by writing an email to Miriam Sperl by 03.07.2009 at the latest.
