Ritter Sport Visit

I love chocolates so much that I can even go as far as calling myself a Choco-holic. So when I heard that we were going to visit Ritter Sport I was beside myself with joy. Going to the chocolate factory and the Museum, all I wanted to do was eat chocolates. On Monday the 21st when I woke up in the morning I felt like that chubby kid from the Movie "Charlie and the Chocolate factory" who found the 1st ticket to visit the factory ? All I wanted to do was go to Ritter Sport and dive into the Chocolate, and I almost did but I heard Philina call out my name just before I was about to....lol.

The first thing we did when we arrived at Ritter Sport was going to the museum, which was epic by the way. There were several interesting things about the museum for me. One of them being the "Aroma button"; there are several chocolate flavours with information about the basic ingredients then in a long glass box, there are these different flavours and to smell the chocolates you have to press the aroma button.

Another interesting thing was the Choco-Machine which was my favourite because when you press the button, a tiny toy truck brought you chocolates, pretty cool. The beautiful thing about the museum is that it had fun informative stuff. On the walls they had a history of the company for the 100 years that they have been in in business, dating back to 1912. They also had little touch screen TVs where you could choose the information you wanted from back in the day advertise and products to present time. The museum also had these small information booths in the film room, where you could watch the film and listen to a step by step process of how the chocolate is made.

When we went to the actual factory where the production takes place it was interesting to see all the work that goes into making the chocolate and I can honestly say that the next time I eat chocolate (next time being right now), I will appreciate it even more. Ritter Sport introduces two new flavours to the market each year and they let their customers taste them and chose the ONE they like the most and we were lucky enough to get a chance to taste a new flavour that is not even in the market yet.

All in all the Ritter Sport Factory tour was amazing and even though Philina stopped me right when I was about to dive into the chocolate I had an amazing time.
