art workshop 2008

On Wednesday the 9th of January,an art workshop was held and hosted by Marion.The class was very insighful and fun for all of us.We started the class by learning about modern art periods such as dadaism,cubism and expressionism.We also learnt about the artist of the time and the artworks that they created,which would later on be world famous.Some of the artists which were discussed were Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock,Monet and Kandinsky.We later on painted artworks which reflected the different time periods which were discussed throughout the lecture.The paintings we made also reflected our personalities and South Africa,that was fun.
The art workshop was a foundation to the great tour we would later on receive at the Staatsgalerie in Stuttgart which was interesting and something to look forward to.
