Art Workshop

There´s nothing I hate more than waking up in the morning, but on friday the 14th, it was a different story,Tom was going to talk to us about art.I´ve had passion for art since I was very young, and am quite artistic, but stopped doing it because of university work and other responsibilities,so I was very excited.

The first session was the theory, where he showed us types of paintings and gave examples, then he gave a group of two to three a painting, each group having a different painting, where we had to give an interpretation of the painting,in terms of the colour scheme, the things you see in the painting, what was the painter trying to show, etc.

Then came the second session, where we had to make our own paintings, after making the paintings each one of us had to tell the group what he/she painted and why,i painted a green bird, one of my favourite animals,i was a bit rusty, but Tom said that its nice and that the colour green,in Europe, stands for hope, then hung them to decorate the room.I really enjoyed the seminar. It felt like I never stopped doing it in the first place.

The thing i like about art is that,it is kind of theraputic, whether its drawing, singing, writing poems,or making a sculpture, atc.,its how you express your emotions, and another thing is that it brings out your creativity, thank you Tom,it was a real flashback for me.
