We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Bonn for financing the 4th REUNION of the Tübingen South Africa Program within the scope of the German-South African Year of Science.
The making of the Tübingen South Africa Program would not have been possible without the input from various organizations that need to be acclaimed in this context. The idea for the Tübingen South Africa Program is based on the fact that Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Western Cape are all partner provinces of the State of Baden-Württemberg, and Tübingen is located in the heart of this German region. Therefore we would like to thank the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart for providing the bulk of funds for conducting this program ever since the year 2000. Then, our gratitude goes to our friends at the Stellenbosch University who so generously provide all the preparatory coordination work in the run-up to the departure of the South African students. And finally, we would like to thank most sincerely all participating universities.
Baie dankie, Stellenbosch University, for hosting and so generously supporting our 4th reunion.
