Incoming students in exchange programmes - Humanities

Europe - ERASMUS+

Beforehand, candidates must check that:

  • an ERASMUS+ bilateral agreement exists between your university and Aix-Marseille University.
  • and that you have been selected by your university.

After selection by your home university:

  • Your International Relations Office announces your application by email to erasmus-in-humanities2@univ-amu.fr (for the UK, Ireland, Germany Malta, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus) or erasmus-in-humanities1@univ-amu.fr (for other EU countries).
  • We let you know by email the application process you have to follow: online application on the International Relations Office website: candidature Moveonline (application form).
  • Print the form, complete it and get it signed by your ERASMUS+ teacher-tutor (at your university).
  • Complete the Learning Agreement provided by your home university.
  • Send us 2 documents (application form + learning agreement) along with 2 ID photos, a photocopy of your ID card or passport, and a photocopy of your European Health Insurance Card or insurance certificate and proof of at least a level B1 in French by:
  • 31st May, at the latest, for a year or 1st semester stay (mid-September to mid-January)
  • 31st October for 2nd semester stays (mid-January to end of May)

Confirmation of your application:

We will send you an acceptance email as soon as your application has been validated by your ERASMUS+ teacher-tutor at Aix-Marseille University.

Remember:

Students must respect the fields of study as detailed in the ERASMUS + bilateral agreements. (To find out the name of your teacher-tutor at Aix-Marseille University and the subjects they teach check out the Annuaire des mobilités.)

FRENCH INTENSIVE COURSES – only for students who arrive during the 1st semester.

ON ARRIVAL

  1. First of all, report to your place of residence.
    If you will be staying at the university halls of residence (if you have been granted a room and it has been reserved) and if you are planning to arrive outside the halls of residence’s reception opening hours, you need to let the residence know.
  2. For administrative registration, go to the International Relations Office of Faculty of Humanities, 29, Av. Robert Schuman, Aix-en-Provence, #A208. Our office is here to welcolme, help and advice incoming students in exchange programmes.

Remember

Bring a copy of your ERASMUS+ learning agreement, proof of health cover (E128 form, EHI card, private insurance card), your passport or ID card and at least 2 ID photos with you to:

You will find below the documents needed for admission applications for the academic year 2018-2019 for exchange programmes at Aix-Marseille University, Faculty of Humanities.

Applicants need to provide:

  • Moveonline application form (please validate each step, print, sign and attached to the application dossier).
  • Learning agreement, signed by the teacher who is in charge of the exchange programme.
  • Letter of recommendation from one of your teachers, in your main field of study.
  • Proof of at least a level B1 in French.
  • Official copy of transcript of records and French translation.
  • Recent passport sized photo (no photocopies or digital prints).
  • Photocopy of your passport.
  • Cover letter typed in French, describing educational motivations behind wanting to study at Aix-Marseille University and a CV.
  • List of course units taken in 2017-2018.
