Luisa Scherzinger, M.Ed.

The ongoing globalisation calls forth a need to increase intercultural and economic competences as well as language skills. One format to achieve this goal from an early age is bilingual economic education, which requires a high level of teacher professionalism. However, research in the field of bilingual education mainly focuses on students and not on teachers. In order to fill this research gap, my research investigates teacher training for bilingual economics trainee teachers during the induction phase in Germany. The research project combines my fields of expertise, since I studied English and economics for the teacher profession and its overall goal is to improve the understanding of bilingual economic education and to enhance the professional development of bilingual economics teachers in the field.
Due to the interdisciplinary orientation of my work, the LEAD community offers a great opportunity for exchange and cooperation with experienced researchers across several disciplines. Moreover, LEAD provides training courses, which allow me to learn about innovative methods and different perspectives.
