Petrogenesis of alkaline rocks

  • halogen enrichment during fractional crystallization of undersaturated melts
  • Radiogenic and stable isotopes as monitors of assimilation prozesses

Halogenes in the continental crust

  • fluid-rock interactions and the formation of highly saline brines and of metamorphic salt in the lower crust
  • stable Cl isotopic composition of Cl-enriched granulitic rocks from Lofoten, Norway
  • halogen enrichment during fractional crystallization of the Ilimaussaq undersaturated syenitic melts, South Greenland
  • crystal chemistry of F- and Cl-rich silikates (amphiboles, micas, titanite) and the relationship between mineral and fluid composition in rocks from Norway and Antarctica
