Robert Kramm, Katrina Navickas, Melina Pappademos & Ted Vallance (Hrsg.): Radical Histories (Buchreihe)

Manchester University Press just launched the new book series Radical Histories, edited by Robert Kramm, Katrina Navickas, Melina Pappademos and Ted Vallance.

The Radical Histories series encourages innovative and field-defining research in the history of individuals, groups, movements and ideas which challenged the political, social and cultural status quo. Radical history covers the history of popular collective action against authority in its many forms, from civil and human rights campaigns, labour and trade unions, popular resistance, indigenous and First Nations histories, environmental campaigns, Black history, and movements for race, gender, sexuality and disability rights, class struggle and more. It encompasses radical thought as well as action and examines the influence and importance of the history and memory of radical movements. The series provides a space for historical works which challenge established narratives and methodologies, opening space for new perspectives, new archives and new ways of writing history. With a global remit from the early modern period to today, the series foregrounds hidden, marginalised and previously unheard voices, geographies and sources.
