Short CV

Amina is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Islamic Doctrine at Center for the Islamic Theology, University of Tuebingen. She completed her PhD in the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge in 2016 with a doctoral dissertation which examined the sixteenth century devotional writings of Morisco communities in Spain. Her key findings from this study will comprise a digital humanities project, forthcoming in Oct. 2022, highlighting Muslim communities in European contexts.

Her research interests at the Center also include projects related to developing materials for teaching Islam, (both digital and print), practical and pastoral theology and ‘home’ and ‘belonging’ narratives within Muslim communities both historically and in contemporary contexts.
