Study German and the EU at one of Germany's top universities: The University of Tübingen!
The Doshisha EU Campus European Studies Program is a tailor-made program offered by Doshisha University in cooperation with University of Tübingen's International & European Studies (IES) program.
The aim of the program is to provide Doshisha undergraduate students a short-time study abroad experience at the University of Tübingen and to complement and enrich their course of study with seminars focusing on Europe and the European Union. Courses will be taught by Doshisha University faculty and the University of Tübingen faculty. Students will be enrolled as exchange students at the University of Tübingen, one of Germany's few universities in the top "Excellent" class.
The program is primarily open to students from Doshisha University. Please contact the Office of International Affairs of Doshisha University if you are interested in participating in the program and for further information on the application process. A very good command of English is required.

Application
The application process is carried out by the Office of International Affairs at Doshisha University.
Admission
- Undergraduate students mainly of theology, humanities, social sciences, economics and law who wish to gain a basic knowledge of Europe and the European Union from a variety of disciplinary perspectives
- Participants must be at least in their second semester
- Very good command of English

Course Schedule
Every class is mandatory. This includes the welcome and farewell session, intercultural workshops, language and program classes.
IES courses (taught in English):
- The Political System of the EU and its Politics
- European Politics of Human Rights
- Regional Economic Integration - The Case of the European Union
- Sustainable Development: History, Concepts, Policies
- Religion and the Challenge of European Identity
- Japonism - When Japanese Aesthetics Struck European Art
Field work as part of the courses (only for on-site programs):

Doshisha courses (not included in the online program):
- EU Law (taught in Japanese)
- Contemporary Philosophy (taught in Japanese)

- Einführung in die Geschichte des Christentums in Deutschland (taught in Japanese)
- Gender and Media (taught in English)
- Digital EU and European Countries: Culture and Society (taught in Japanese)
- Sports culture in Germany - with German Language (taught in Japanese)
- Geography of the Creative Industries - Globalization and Local Responses (taught in English)

Social Program
Buddy Program
To support you during your stay in Tübingen and to promote an intercultural exchange we have set up a Buddy Program in which a student of the University of Tübingen teams up with an IES participant. The Buddy Program aims to initiate a cultural exchange between international students and the Tübingen students, to expand one’s own cultural horizon, as well as the strengthening of intercultural skills and competences. The Buddy Program will allow you to get to know German student life first-hand and to make friends. More here.
