Anwendungen / Software
Die Wiwi-IT stellt für die Mitglieder des Fachbereichs die für Forschung und Lehre benötigte Anwendungssoftware bereit und unterstützt beim Zugriff auf zentral vorgehaltene Softwareinstallationen und Rechenkapazitäten.
Die Form der technischen Umsetzung, des Zugriffs und der Lizenzierung sind auf den jeweiligen Bedarf, die jeweiligen Finanzierungs-, Betriebs- und Lizenzmodelle abgestimmt und in jedem Einzelfall verschieden. Zwei Formen lassen sich grundsätzlich unterscheiden:
- Beschaffung von Kauf- und Mietlizenzen, die lokal (d.h. auf Arbeitsplatzrechnern oder Notebooks) installiert werden (siehe: Beschaffung von Software). Einige Softwareprodukte sind auch fakultäts-, universitäts- oder landesweit lizenziert und bspw. über das "Campus-Software-Portal" des ZDV zu erhalten.
- Bereitstellung von Software zur gemeinsamen Nutzung (Anwendungsbereitstellung / "Application Service Providing" (ASP)) auf PCs, Servern und Rechenclustern. Diese Nutzungsformen erfordern einen wie auch immer gestalteten "Remote-Zugriff". Bitte lesen Sie weiter unter dem Punkt "Computing / ASP".
