We are looking for a new PhD student to join the team!
Requirements:
• M.Sc. in Neuroscience, Biology, Cognitive Science, Bioinformatics, or similar
• responsibility in working with animals
• good programming skills in Matlab or Python
The three-year position is funded through the Middle East Cooperation by the DFG, and jointly supervised by Lena Veit and canary expert Dr. Yarden Cohen from the Weizmann Institute for Science. The student is based in Tübingen, with salary according to the German salary scale TV-L E13 (65%).
The Institute of Neurobiology and the wider neuroscientific environment in Tübingen provide an ideal and stimulating environment for successful PhD students. The student will be able to have a structured education through the Graduate Training Center for Neuroscience, with the possibility to apply for the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Neural Mechanisms of Mental Function and Dysfunction (3-year program).
