Laboratory usage

Our laboratory operates with an open-access policy for our instrumentation, welcoming users from within our department, the wider university, and external institutions. We are committed to supporting all users by providing:

  • Comprehensive introductions and training on the proper use of our instruments
  • Assistance with data reduction, processing, and interpretation

User Participation:
All measurements must be carried out by the users themselves. Due to limited staff capacity, we are unable to perform complete analyses on behalf of users.

Costs and Fees:
Analytical costs covering maintenance and consumables are charged on a per-sample basis. Test measurements and the preparation or development of new analytical methods are generally offered free of charge. Laboratory fees are usually fixed but may vary depending on the number of samples processed and the experience level of the user.

We aim to provide the best possible support and access for research and collaboration. For detailed inquiries or to discuss your specific analytical needs, please do not hesitate to contact us (Kevin Norton).
