Are there any scholarships available?
Unfortunately the University of Tübingen and the AEG program cannot offer any financial support to students!
For financial assistance check the scholarship opportunities in your native country or see the scholarship database of the DAAD for information on German scholarship organisations:
https://www.daad.de/en/study-and-research-in-germany/scholarships/
In order to be considered for a scholarship some organisations require a letter from the University. We can send you this only after you have completed the online application procedure.

What is about accommodation?
As it is difficult to find accommodation on the private market we recommend to apply for student housing.
Information on dorms run by the "Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim", the largest provider of student accommodation, can be found at:

Application Procedure

Each winter semester, 40 study places will be awarded in an internal university selection procedure.
In the selection procedure, the overall grade of the Bachelor's degree is taken into account, as well as the personal motivation for the study program and relevant additional qualifications (e.g. study-related internships or professional training, voluntary services, etc.).

To apply for the AEG program please follow the online application procedure on the University's website.
The application portal will open in early February. Application deadline for the program is:
- 31st March for International (non-EU) citizens
- 15th July for German and EU citizens

Here you find detailed Information about the Application Procedure.

Information for waiting list applicants

If you receive a late admission (in August or September), be aware of the following problems:

  • You should arrive by the start of the semester which is in mid-October.
If you arrive after November 1st, you will have already missed important classes and chances are slim that you will pass the mandatory exams (which are required for participation in advanced courses). Since courses are offered once a year, this means you will have to wait a year in order to successfully take and pass these specific courses.
  • You need to find accommodation.
This is extremely (!!!)  difficult and expensive on the private market, and places in student dorms have already been allocated. For information on student housing see the links in the FAQ's section.

Do not ignore these problems!

If you cannot arrive on time, it is best to reapply for the following year. This would also give you enough time to apply for a visa as well as for student housing.
