Applications are invited for a PhD position at the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Tübingen (IAAT). The research activities of the Institute include Astronomy, Instrumental Design/High Energy Physics, Computational Astrophysics and Relativistic Astrophysics. The focus of research of the Computational Astrophysics group lies in the field of star and planet formation, and the physics of accretion disks.
The successful applicant will carry out original research in the field of Planet Formation within the Computational Astrophysics group of the IAAT. The topic of the thesis research deals with the structure of turbulent discs and embedded planets.
The salary is paid according to German public service scale (50% of TV-L E13). Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, and copies of diploma, M.Sc. or related certificates to wilhelm.kley.
