Chair of Soil Science and Geomorphology, Tuebingen University celebrated its 2nd “Multicultural New Year Dinner – 2025” on Wednesday 15th January, continuing the tradition started in 2024 under the spirit of “Unity in Diversity”.
The Chair, Prof. Thomas Scholten, unfolded the event, sharing its first year’s grand success and the importance of celebrating multicultures in the research institutions. He said, “I too enjoy cooking in the kitchen if I have time and would love to know more about the traditional cuisines around the globe”. He emphasized how such events in the research group bring a positive atmosphere, fresh energy and close connections among colleagues. He also highlighted the rich history of international collaboration, acknowledged the current national-international members of the research team, and shed light on ongoing international research projects. It was our pleasure to know from him that 2024 was the great success year in the Soil Science and Geomorphology research group.
The festival began at 4 PM, featuring a diverse culinary experience from nine different countries/ regions across Europe, Asia, and South America. A detailed menu categorized dishes into Appetizers, Main Dishes, Desserts, and Drinks, with each dish introduced by its creator, sharing its cultural significance and recipe.
