The Master's program "Geosciences" is aimed at advanced students who wish to supplement and deepen the knowledge they have acquired in a geoscientifically oriented Bachelor's program. The research-oriented degree program is intended to enable students to establish contact with top-level research on a national and international level both in the field of classical basic sciences and applied geodisciplines. This includes a critical examination of goals, contents, planning and application, but also the problems of research, as well as a correspondingly high scientific level. In a first step, planning, terrain and laboratory methods are independently developed and applied under guidance in a second step.
The University of Tübingen offers the largest variety of geoscientific subjects in Germany and therefore allows students, like no other location, to get to know the wealth of geoscientific research from applied geology and applied mineralogy to palaeontology, structural geology, petrology geochemistry, geophysics, biogeology, physical geography as well as ancient prehistory and natural scientific archaeology - to name just a few.
