Carnival Parade (26/01/03)

Well the carnival! We left the ISP and thought it could be boring, but in fact it was the coolest and best day of my life in Germany! When we got to Rottenburg, people were wearing their costumes and there was music, and even little children had their own comstumes and they were sooo cute! When we got to the street, we started painting our faces, sprayed our hair and we looked lovely. When the carnival started we were ready, there were about 20,000 – 30,000 (?) people on the street. The music was played loudly, people shouted and the most beautiful things was to see people and clubs in their different costumes. The whiches had their brooms and also they walked around saying their slogans (e.g. Narri – Narro). But! There was a mistake that we made with one slogan, saying Narri-hee! But it was all in the days work. The funny thing that I realise was that all the people in costumes seemed to love me, not that I am braging, but I was the star of the day, I really liked the part they were jumping all over around the street and the way their costumes made noises, I was just blessed. At one time this other guy came to me and said his slogan to my face and I said it back and he just said I LOVE YOU and gave me a hug and sweets. The others would pick me up and also put papers all over me. Actually I think not even one group passed without a member coming to me. And that rocked my world indeed. One thing that was remarkable is that our group is the only group that kept on making noise, moving around and doing everything during the show. All that for me the carnival was the best day during the whole trip to Tübingen. What a day it was! So I would like to thank everyone that was responsible for trip, including our sponsors and the University of Tübingen. Bye Bye!!!
