Tübingen-South Africa Program 2003

South African Dinner (29/01/03)

This was such a sad day since it is our last day at the small and beautiful town Tübingen. But we have to go home, what can we do. We woke up in the morning and prepared the ingredients for our dinner. Marion went to buy the groceries. Then in the afternoon we started to cook. We had different types of main dishes and desserts. We had pap, Bobotie, Patjiekos, camed rice, chicken stew, spinache, Chakalata. For desserts we had milk tart, fruit salad, delicious pudding. The Rector of the University of Tübingen, Prof. Dr. Schaich was there. He had some fun I think. There were many more guests. We sang beautiful songs, such as “Mangwane”, “Shosholosa” and our national anthem of course. We had a Zulu dance by Silence. We really had some fun. We played African musics and danced. We had our favorable Polka with Elisabeth. Oh what a great evening.
