German
One class (January 2003)
Germany has brought so much joy to my life since I got here. People
are wonderful, full of energy and very accomodating indeed. Yes!
I have done so much since, but there is always something extraordinary
or exceptional and that is my lessons in Deutsch. My first day
learning German was wow! It was so amazing how things can just
turn out, I mean there I was not knowing one word in Deutsch but
within 2 hours of my lessons I would speak one or two sentences
in Deutsch. That, I can say, is amazing. This of course couldn’t
be achieved without the wonderful, energetic, young woman EVA.
Her patience and determination has actually helped us great deal.
The whole experience of learning Deutsch was just awesome and
it is a very interesting language with those “s” in
the beginning of the sentences, that one has to be proncounced
as “z”. Well, as interesting as it is, Deutsch is
quite complicated and what I have realized is that one of the
reasons behind its complexity I guess is because of the way its
sentences are structured. Eva, this is especially for you! Your
determination and patience still made you the best teacher, keep
it up and hope everyone who will be your student gets to see or
to read what I have seen in your class. You are so sweet and generous.
Well! If possible I will continue learning German back at home
and one day I will send you a letter written in Deutsch. Wunderbar…..
