Tübingen-South Africa Program 2003

Welcome Day (07/01/03)

We cooked Kässpätzle together. A traditional German dish. We found it unusual to make our own spaghetti and we all had to try doing it. We enjoyed the dish immensely (though some missed having meat!).We could not get enough of the snow. We took a walk in it, wearing our wonderful clothes collected by Barbara. We could freeze to death without it.We were supposed to go to sleep, but we hopped onto the bus. We went into town and walked in the cobbled streets and crawling through the quaint German buildings. We were in a picture we used to see only on postcards and we stood in awe at the privilige to be there.
