Student initiative nez

What is nez?

"nez" stands for "Sustainable Development - Together for the Future!". We are a student initiative and at the same time a non-profit association in Tübingen. We have been around since 2014 and many people may still know us under our old name "Week of Links". In view of the challenges of our time, we want to make a contribution to a sustainable university and society by creating low-threshold opportunities to deal with issues of sustainable development and to network with other Tübingen initiatives. We want to inspire people inside and outside the University of Tübingen to see themselves as actors in a socio-ecological transformation, to develop solutions and to put them into practice. We are constantly developing our formats and working to actively and sustainably shape the structures of our university. We generally organize two events each year: let's nez and nezWerk.

The fall academy let's nez

At the let's nez legen, which takes place every year at the beginning of the winter semester, we place a special focus on the start in Tübingen and at the university. We want to introduce the new students to various facets of sustainable development in order to send them off into a new phase of their lives full of critical questioning and zest for action. The approachability and student flair of our initiative and event are particularly important factors in this regard.

The nezWerk project days

Everyone is invited to the nezWerk project days, which take place every summer, from school pupils to apprentices, students, professionals and pensioners. In addition to critical discussion, the focus is particularly on initiating creative ideas and new projects as well as expanding the network of sustainability initiatives in Tübingen.
