Biography

Lee Yi-Ching 李宜卿 is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Political Science, National Taiwan University. She received her BA at the Department of Law, National Taipei University, and her MA at the Graduate Institute of National Development, National Taiwan University. Her current research interests include energy and climate change policy, energy law, and governance issues. She has won a DAAD/MOST sandwich scholarship to support her current stay at the ERCCT in Tübingen.

Current research project

Lee Yi-Ching is working on a Ph.D. project. In the current stage, her research aims at the issues of energy transition and urban governance practices in Germany. In her research, she explores the characteristics of new energy policies (local and national), the urban governance strategies, and connections between central and local levels in this process. She also reviews historical expreriences and local context with energy projects, and seeks to analyze how all of these factors led to energy transition in Germany. Her Ph.D. project would employ a comparative approach to the governance issues of energy transition between Germany and Taiwan.
