Biography

Lin Ya-Yin is a PhD Candidate at the Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies at National Cheng-Chih University, and a faculty member nurtured by the college of International & National Defense Affairs at National Defense University. Her research interests include Chinese united front work, cross-strait relations, and state-society relations in China. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on the typological analysis of China governance strategies in popular culture. Ya-Yin is also engaged in another research project on China's gray zone strategy, aiming to clarify the operational patterns of the China’s cognitive warfare against Taiwan through case studies of three military drills, and to propose countermeasures.
