The Prof. Dr. Hans Machleidt and Dr. Sieglinde Göhring-Machleidt Foundation was established in 2020 with the aim of supporting universities and educational institutions in the field of natural sciences, musical projects and institutions, as well as hospice facilities.

The primary target group of the “Hans Machleidt Biochemistry Innovation Award” are successful and innovative young scientists in postdoctoral positions or at an advanced stage of their doctorates who are studying or have studied biochemistry at the University of Tübingen.

Call for proposals

The award will be presented on December 4, 2026, during a scientific symposium at the IFIB.

The name of the foundation is intended to commemorate Prof. Dr. Hans Machleidt (1927-2019) and Dr. Sieglinde Göhring-Machleidt (*1952).
