Janet's major research interest is on African urban youth, their religiosity and transformation. She also explores African Indigenous Religions which span African culture, metaphysics, epistemologies and African religion in the modern and post-modern Africa.

In the summer semester 2024, she will also give a seminar entitled "Transformation of Youth Religiosity in African Mega-Cities. Pastoral and Ecclesiological Challenges".
