Datum | Uhrzeit 31. Mai 2023 | 10:00 s.t.
Ort Raum 314, Gartenstraße 29, 72074 Tübingen

Professor Derek Hamilton is a prehistoric archaeologist and a professor at the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC) in Glasgow. He is an expert in combining dating techniques with stable and radiogenic isotope analysis. Additionally, he uses Bayesian statistics to develop models of paleodiet in both people and animals, which are supported by generational chronological frameworks. This combination of techniques allows him to explore questions related to the archaeology of colonisation, movement and mobility in prehistoric societies, archaeology of households and communities, and human-environment interaction.
