G-TURN Critical Conversations

Organised on-line, open only to G-TURN members, these conversations have been conceived as providing a ‘safe space’ where to think through and perhaps to develop responses to tricky issues that touch our academic and teaching activities.

The next session will be on Thursday, 18 April 2024 at 16.00 (CET), via Zoom and will last one hour. The focus will be on ethical dilemmas that emerge "in the field" as we discussed in the session before (14 December 2023). We continue where we left off, so to speak.

On 25 October 2023, the first G-TURN “Critical Conversations” took place. Following concerns and questions that have been posed as we establish this ‘global’ research network, the theme for the first session was representation. Focusing on issues of "critical" and "inclusive" representation, the session was dedicated to debating the challenges of power inequalities within knowledge production, questions of inclusivity and access vis a vis academic spaces and the ethics of "critical" and "inclusive" representation."
