Warum Wirtschaftsgeschichte studieren?
Welchen Einfluss hatte Globalisierung auf den Lebensstandard der Europäer? Eine der vielen Fragen, für die sich der Lehrstuhl interessiert.
Ein wichtiges Forschungsgebiet ist die Entwicklung von Humankapital und der allgemeinen Wohlfahrt in den verschiedensten Regionen der Welt. Der empirische Schwerpunkt macht die Gewinnung von neuem Datenmaterial und die Anwendung neuer Schätztechniken zu einem wichtigen Bestandteil. Durch die Analyse der verschiedenen Geburtsjahrgänge können Aussagen über die zeitliche Entwicklung des Lebensstandards der jeweiligen Population getroffen werden. mehr
