Would you like to change your subject or university?

If you are planning to change your subject at the University of Tübingen, please note the application deadlines for the respective degree programs. If you have not yet found the ideal degree program, please contact the Student Counseling Service in time for individual advice.

If you are planning a change of subject within the University of Tübingen, you have to re-enroll for the upcoming semester. You don't have to terminate your enrollment in this case. For further information on this concern get in contact with the Admissions Office for International Students.

If you are planning to change the university, please contact the new university for further information. Please note that you will need a certificate of termination of enrollment from the University of Tübingen in order to enroll there.

If you are a student and would like to end your enrollment at the University of Tübingen, you can do this at any time at the Student Administration Office.

Normally, termination of enrollment takes place at the end of the next semester (March 31st at the end of the winter semester or September 30th at the end of the summer semester) by active applying. However, you can also terminate your enrollment on any date between the date of application and the end of the next semester. It is not possible to terminate your enrollment on a date in the past.

If you are paying tuition fees for international students and you are planning to change the university or to terminate your studies at the University of Tübingen, please contact the Tuition Fees Office and find out about the deadlines for refunding fees and the procedures for refunds. Other offices at the University are not able to give you detailed advice on this issue.

The Graduate Academy of the University is the central coordinating body for all support services related to general advising, professional and academic development for doctoral candidates. It is the umbrella organization for the graduate academies of the faculties, through which it also integrates the university’s doctoral training programs and doctoral training networks.
